We’re proud to announce that Llanyrafon Primary School has been presented with a gold award by the Woodland Trust for their involvement in environmental activities. The Green Tree Schools initiative offers pupils the opportunity to bring the great outdoors, wildlife and green issues into the classroom. Over the last nine months pupils have been hard at work planting trees, visiting local woodlands, reducing our carbon emissions, recycling and taking part in other Woodland Trust activities. What an achievement, congratulations!!

Reception pupils took a visit to a local woodland were we had great fun exploring, playing and learning in the great outdoors. We also tried to find new ways of looking at the woods through the view points of different animals and insects.

What better way to start the summer term than with the fantastic news that The Woodland Trust has now awarded Llanyrafon Primary School with our ‘Silver’ certificate for our continued efforts in environmental activities and outdoor education. A huge "Well done" to all those involved!
