Our Forest School program is now in its 4th year and is growing into an important part of our school life. Forest Schools is an innovative educational approach to outdoor play and learning.
The philosophy of Forest Schools is to encourage and inspire individuals of any age through positive outdoor experiences.
By participating in engaging, motivating and achievable tasks and activities in an outdoor / woodland environment each child has the opportunity to develop intrinsic motivation, sound emotional and social skills and build resilience. These, through self awareness can be developed to reach personal potential.
Hopefully your childs experience within forest school will encourage you and them to go outside and enjoy adventures of your own.

Note to parents
All Year 5, 3 AND Year 1 children will take part in the Forest School Program. You should have received a general FS letter explaining why we run this program.
Your child will then receive a slip closer to their session start date, telling you exactly when their group will begin their 7 weeks. This may not be until the summer 2020 as there are four x 7 week programs to run (and allowing for any cancellations). Forest Schools is an important educational and social program and is compulsory.
Please could all children bring suitable clothes ready for each session. They will need three layers including a long-sleeved base layer, to be worn under their coat. Thick socks,Wellington boots or waterproof footwear (NOT Trainers).
