Forest Schools is an innovative educational approach to outdoor learning and our Forest School program has grown into an important part of our school life.
The philosophy of Forest Schools is to encourage and inspire individuals of any age through positive outdoor experiences. By participating in engaging, motivating and achievable tasks and activities in an outdoor environment, each child has the opportunity to strengthen thier social and emotional skills as well as developing their resilience, confidence and wellbeing.
Waterproof jackets and trousers will be provided for all pupils. However, Please could you ensure your child has a pair of wellingtons and appropriate clothing for the seasons weather, ideally 3 layers. I.E, long trousers/leggings, long sleeved tops, coat, gloves + hat etc in winter. Long trousers/leggings must be worn at each session - no shorts or skirts. Old clothes are better, they will get a bit dirty!
