Dear Parents,

Llanyrafon Primary School strives to provide a happy, safe nurturing environment where every child is valued, encouraged and challenged to achieve their full potential. Our motto ‘Achieving Success through Lifelong Learning’ shows the importance learning has for all members of our school community. Within our school we have three core values which we all adhere to. These are to be determined, be respectful and be a superstar. Through consideration of these core values we provide a safe, exciting learning environment where we celebrate success whilst empowering learners to meet challenges and work with others.

Education in Wales is facing an exciting transformation with the new curriculum for Wales being introduced in September 2022. As a school we are looking forward to implementing our new cluster curriculum designed to equip our children to become enterprising, healthy, ambitious capable learners who are ethically informed and provided with the skills necessary to become lifelong learners.

We place great emphasis on developing strong partnerships between home and school. We recognise that through working together in an atmosphere of mutual respect and support we can provide what is best for our children in order that they may be happy, enriched and fulfil their potential. Together we can achieve great things and we welcome parent contributions. Our staff are committed to preparing your child for a lifelong journey of discovery and learning and I am incredibly proud to be the Head Teacher of Llanyrafon Primary School.
