Welcome to Year 3 - Croeso i Blwyddyn Chwech
What an exciting start we have to our brand new term, where we are literally launching ourselves into our whole school 'Blast Off' topic.
We have a term packed full of learning from fun STEM lessons dropping objects into flour to make craters and designing and creating something to help with the safe re-entry of an object to earth. We will be using our creative thinking to make our own alien and develop our mathematical skills across the curriculum. We will develop our team building skills and promote a healthy body and mind .
We will be studying the novel by Lou Treleaven "Homework on Pluto" in order to have a funny read about space travel and use as a stimulus for our reading, writing and oracy work.
Games will take place on a Monday and PE on a Wednesday and we ask that children wear their P.E kits into school on those days.
Reading books can be changed on a Monday and returned on a Thursday. Homework will given out on a Thursday, with it being due back in on the following Tuesday.
We look forward to an exciting and productive term in Year 3. Please email class teachers with any queries and we will get back to you as soon as we possibly can.
Mrs Ells, Mrs Watson, Miss Keelan and Miss Debnam.
